Rivalries
Louisville
First played in 1912, Louisville-Kentucky football series was revived in 1994 after the success of the basketball series that restarted in 1983. Kentucky played Louisville in the Cardinals' first 4 seasons and twice in the 1920s, holding the Cardinals scoreless in all contests. Kentucky then left the SIAA in 1922 to become a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and limited its play of in-state schools. It would be 70 years before these two in-state rivals faced each other again. The two teams compete for the Governor's Cup.

Since then the Cats and Cards have met every year, and it is regarded as one of the best rivalries in all of college sports, despite an overall historical dominance by Kentucky.
Tennessee

rabidsnowman Era (2021)
2021 Season
The inaugural season of the SFA for Kentucky under rabidsnowman was a remarkable success. An undefeated regular season not only saw the Wildcats claim the SEC East Division Title and ranked second in the country, but they also defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide for the Conference Championship, earning themselves a place in the College Football Playoffs.
The Wildcats started well in the Playoffs, defeating the Purdue Boilermakers in the Peach Bowl for the Quarterfinals. However their season ended after being defeated by the eventual champion Tulsa Golden Hurricanes in the CFP Semifinals in the Sugar Bowl.
Ezaco Era (2022-Present)
2022 Season
The 2022 season, and the first season of Ezaco, started off with a lot of hype and promise. After a 2-0 start in defeating Oklahoma and Wake Forest, the Wildcats stumbled against Missouri and never quite recovered, falling to a 5-7 record and failing to qualify for a bowl game.
